ILOILO City – Most of the skills registrants for job matching through the Enhanced National Skills Registry Program (NSRP) of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 6 came from this city.
A total of 7,226 jobseekers from the city registered to the Enhanced NSRP System in Western Visayas from Sept. 1 to Dec. 5.
For this, the city government received a plaque of recognition from the DOLE Region 6.
Acting Regional Director Salome Siaton handed the recognition to Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog and Public Employment Service Office (PESO) manager Ma. Elena A.C. Benitez.
Mabilog said the recognition proves the city government’s effort in delivering employment opportunities to Ilonggos.
He encouraged more jobseekers to register for skills matching to available work opportunities at the PESO at the fifth floor of city hall.
Earlier Mabilog was cited for his leadership after the city government ranked first in the NSRP implementation in Western Visayas from October 2010 to May 2016.
The city garnered a 31.70-percent accomplishment rate, or 75,503 registrants out of the targeted 238,211 working population. (Iloilo City PIO/PN)
