ILOILO City – Engineer Neil Ravena was designated as officer-in-charge of the city government’s Beautification Division following the resignation of Ninda Atinado.

Ravena confirmed receiving an office order from Mayor Jerry P. Treñas regarding his new task.

He will manage the city’s beautification program while already spearheading the City Environment and Natural Resources Office, solid waste management and the sanitary landfill operation.

Ravena believes he can handle all these since the tasks are interrelated

“More or less the same nature of work, daw wala man kita nabudlayan,” he said.

He added: “In fairness kay ma’am Ninda Atinado, daku man sang iya accomplishment and we have to maintain that, at the same time ma-impose lang kita sang mga mayo pa gid nga pagahimuon.”

For one, Ravena is eyeing to plant native trees along the esplanade.

Currently, however, they are on a transition period and still conducting an inventory of personnel and logistics.

Atinado resigned amid allegations of lending activity with stiff conditions at city hall./PN
