ILOILO City – After 11 years of hiding, this city’s No. 3 most wanted man was finally arrested.
Sixty-one-year-old Joemarie Acentada was a resident of Barangay Pali Benedicto, Mandurriao district. He was collared in Barangay Maasin, Quezon, Palawan.
Charged with rape (criminal case number 09-67561), the suspect was caught around 8:30 p.m. on June 24, a police report showed.
Judge Danilo Galvez of the 6th Judicial Region, Branch 24 here issued the warrant of arrest on May 12, 2010.
The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan took custody of Acentada, who is set to be turned over to the Mandurriao police station./PN
