ILOILO – The Police Regional Office 6 recently deployed 80 additional police personnel to the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) as augmentation force for municipal police stations.
“These additional personnel are really a big help. Some of our personnel are in border areas and others are assigned at the quarantine facilities,” said Police Colonel Gilbert Gorero, police provincial director.
The additional police personnel had just finished their six-month Field Training Program (FTP) on patrolling and investigation.
Gorero said these personnel will further undergo the Basic Internal Security Operation Course.
In June, 246 neophyte police officers – 203 males and 43 females – completed their basic training on combat operations and tactics./PN
