THE Local Government Integrity Circles (LoGIC) Project in Iloilo Province has extended its digital package training to selected micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) whose community-driven livelihood were affected by the shift of enterprises to online platform as result of the pandemic.
A total of 32 MSMEs leaders from four municipalities were able to complete the last batch of clustered digipack training held at the Casa Real in General Luna St., Iloilo City Proper on Oct. 13-16, 2020.
The training was administered by the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion (LEDIP) Center of the Iloilo Provincial Government.
Among those who completed the training were four weaver associations operating in Oton, Miag-ao, Badiangan, and Sta. Barbara and two resorts and guides associations from Carles.
The digipack is a compressed practical module composed of technical orientation, step-by-step tutorial, trial run, and actual exercises for effective online work.
The participants learned the basics like installation of wi-fi router, resetting of wi-fi router, downloading of applications, and synchronization of mobile devices such as laptop computers and smartphones, among others.
It also enabled participants to get a guided tutorial on how to set-up an e-mail account using Gmail, its interlinking usage like Google Drive, Google Map and popular meetings or webinar platforms like Google Meet, Zoom, and Messenger Rooms.
They also acquired tips on social media marketing through the use of Facebook and convenience of using digital wallets like GCash and PayMaya.
The face-to-face training was held in a series of sessions so that MSME community leaders can acquire a focused mentoring and to enable them to transfer what they have learned to its members and partners when they go back to their communities.
The LoGIC Project is a three-year initiative which is concluding this October. It is implemented by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Philippines and co-funded by the European Union and by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Development Cooperation./PN
