MIAG-AO, Iloilo – Taekwondo jins from the Iloilo MVP Taekwondo Gym hauled medals at the Regional Inter-school Taekwondo Championships here.
The wards of head coach Denmark Pinggol were dominant. They harvested 35 medals—27 golds, seven silvers and four bronzes.
In poomsae, Viene Marie Dulaca, Francheska Isobelle Dunton and Phil Caleb Regalado got gold medals in yellow belt; same with Trisha Derren Cayanan, Andria Margaret Palabrica and Shanen Anica Feranco in the blue belt category.
In the red belt category, Geon Ivan Dulaca captured gold while Justin Adrian Apura had silver.
Jilyn Rose Yap also had a gold in black belt and Enzo Lucio Cape had a silver in brown belt.
In kyorugi novice jins division, gold medal winners were Margarette Gem Obsequio, Phil Caleb Regalado, Adrian Joseph Gajasan III, Lindsy Lorraine Degayo, Maria Beatriz Santos, Louwee Kyle Sualog, Maria Dorotea Anne Aquino, Andria Margaret Palabrica, Zachary Neil Lopez, Bronze Villa, Niña Pearl Acosta, Sirhc Einreb Damaolao, Alyanah Julienne Tionko, and Eujean Castete.
Winning silver were Anthony Benidect Planta, Francheska Isobelle Dunton, James Annrhey Pecayco, Dariel Andrei Talamor, Elisha Paradero and Jozef Marti Linga, while bronze winners were Eduardo Adenic III, Gabriel Dominic Capadosa, and Sophie Ysabelle Belonio.
In advance kyorugi jins Enzo Lucio Cape, Samantha Gayle Go, Akimeh Demavivas, Sheine Nicole De Asis, Jannah Ysabel Velez, Josh Karl Macahilig, and Crisgel Castro all had gold medals while Neljane Wentworth Belgira and Red Dyron Lusaya ended up with silver and bronze, respectively./PN
