ILOILO City – The No. 2 most wanted person for rape in Iloilo Province was arrested in Barangay Poblacion, Alimodian town.
The 45-year-old alias Gerie, a resident of the said barangay, was caught around 11:35 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, through the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Elijo Sharon Ronzales Herrera-Bellones dated August 6, 2024.
The successful operation was carried out by the Alimodian Municipal Police Station, Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s Intelligence Unit, 601st Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6, and Visayas Field Unit-Anti-Kidnapping Group Iloilo Satellite Unit.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Alimodian police station pending turnover to the court concerned.
A P180,000 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
