Iloilo prov’l gov’t designates venues for COVID vax rollout

ILOILO – West Visayas State University (WVSU) Cultural Center in La Paz, Iloilo City and Robinsons Place Pavia in Barangay Ungka, Pavia, Iloilo are the venues of the provincial government’s vaccination campaign against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

These venues were chosen because of their accessibility; people won’t have a hard time reaching them.

The WVSU Cultural Center is open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for vaccination.

On the other hand, Robinsons Place in Pavia is open for vaccination every Tuesday and Thursday.

The vaccination team of the provincial capitol and Philippine Red Cross-Iloilo are managing the two venues.

According to Dr. Maria Socorro Colmenares-Quiñon, Provincial Health Office (PHO) chief, the venues are open to everybody.

COVID-9 booster shots may also be secured in the two venues, she added.

As of Jan. 5, 804,433 individuals (56 percent of the target population of the province) were deemed fully vaccinated already against COVID-19 (they have received the second dose of the two-dose vaccine.)/PN
