MANILA – Jins from the Denmark V. Pinggol and the A. Diasnes taekwondo gyms capped off their campaign in the National Interschool Taekwondo Championships on Sunday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium with 22 more gold medals.
Pinggol’s stable added 13 golds. Clyde Anthony Chua captured two in individual and team poomsae; Cyd Edryc Esmana had a gold and a bronze in poomsae and a silver in kyorugi; and Elizabeth Marie Borres and Conrad Joseph Pido had a gold and a bronze in elementary poomsae.
Also winning a gold medal each were Angela Joy Bermejo, Akimeh Demavivas, Josh Carl Macahilig, Christian Pudadera, Joshua Grecia, and Jhed Morata in kyorugi, and Sofie Jesse Uy and Roycel Mar Decafe in poomsae.
Roivic John Decafe had a silver and a bronze in kyorugi while Ameila Carla Victoria captured a silver in elementary poomsae and a bronze in elementary kyorugi.
Other silver winners were Sophia Grace Go, Shiela Nicole de Asis, Katrina Mamaril, Geraldine Diana, Glaiza Cordero, Paul Kenneth Cangcang, and Senddrick Valencia in kyorugi, and Enzo Lucio Cape, Julianna Uy and Aiken Avaricio in poomsae.
Bronze winners were Roices Decafe, Samantha Gayle Go, Neljane Belgira, and Kyna Zurielle Gemarino in kyorugi, and Antonio Nafarrete and Jannah Ysabel Velez in poomsae.
From the Diasnes stable, Mariel Siscar bagged three gold medals in kyorugi and a bronze in individual poomsae. Hanz Oliver Jardio also had three golds in poomsae and kyorugi, and a bronze in team poomsae along with Mary Naiz Malongayon.
Markishi Anthonette Ting, meanwhile, claimed her third gold medal in the competition when she got on team poomsae along with Jesseray Lucas Frantilla and Artha Camille Tanagon.
Other gold medal winners from the stable of head coach Flora Navales were Exiovince Earlle Albor and Kyle Chin in cadet kyorugi.
Capturing silver were Heleana Dulzen Grace Donton, Jairus Luc Lagon, Aryan Nicole Nonis, Artha Camille Tanagon, Crizzel Jhanin Ahmed, Czharina Morris, and Jairus Luc Kriztorei Lagon.
Donton, Albor, Johnniel Andre Cabaraca, Jex Mitchel Jardio, Janus Miguel Tacsagon, Artha Camille Tanagon, and Justine James Diasnes won bronze./PN
