BACOLOD City – Other regions have been assured of a more improved hosting of the 2015 National Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) competition in Iloilo City.

Western Visayas PRISAA executive director Roger Banzuela said his many suggestions were noted during the Annual Strategic Planning Meeting at the Quezon City Sports Club on June 6.

The meeting was attended by 17 regional presidents and executive directors.

Banzuela presented many concerns on how to improve the national competition among private colleges and universities.

Banzuela is also running the University Games (UniGames) as its president.

Iloilo will host the National PRISAA in the second week of April 2015 following failed efforts to bring the hosting to Bacolod City.

The local government of Bacolod was adamant to accept the hosting.

Last year, Tagum City hosted the National PRISAA at the Davao Del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex.

Western Visayas regained the overall championship by collecting 99 gold, 54 silver and 74 bronze medals from Central Visayas that managed a 80-42-29 medal haul.

Iloilo hosted the National PRISAA in 1992 and 2007.

Bacolod City hosted the event in 2004./PN
