Iloilo’s 1st barangay-based Satellite Teen Center in Pavia

ILOILO – The first barangay-based Satellite Teen Center in this province was established in Barangay Balabag, Pavia.

The project costs P2,295,000 with P400,000 worth of office, communication, ICT equipment, and furniture and fixtures.

A blessing ceremony for the Teen Center and new Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Hall was conducted on Aug. 25.

Cong. Michael Gorriceta, Mayor Laurence Anthony Gorriceta, and Sangguniang Bayan Members  Jose Maria Trimañez, Maria Jaspe-Francisco, and Daniel Fajardo II graced the event.

Bryan Adrian Camposagrado, operations head of the Community Learning Hub of the Office of the Vice President Leni Robredo in Iloilo was also present.

SK-Balabag, led by SK Chairperson Jeff Moises Hontoria, is also a beneficiary of the Community Learning Hub of Robredo, which will make the Satellite Center fully operational.

Meanwhile, the office of Board Member Ma. Angelica Bianca Requinto, president of the SK Iloilo Provincial Federation, will pass a resolution designating the project as the province’s first Barangay Based Teen Center funded by SK./PN
