Iloilo’s hospital management chief quits

ILOILO – Dr. Cynthia Cabangal-Ng would step down as head of the Hospital Management Office (HMO) of this province, confirmed Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr.

Ng passed an “irrevocable” resignation letter last week as the province battles the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

Ng would end her service by July 15.

“Dr. Cynthia had personal reasons,” said Defensor but he refused to elaborate.

Naga-transition kita subong,” Defensor said in an interview over DYOK Aksyon Radyo Iloilo.

As to Ng’s replacement, “ma-appoint kita sang officer-in-charge,” the governor said.

Panay News declined to give a statement.

Ng has been the HMO chief since June 2019.
