ILOILO – The No. 1 most wanted person for murder in Iloilo province was apprehended in Barangay Dawis, Pototan around 9:10 a.m. yesterday, May 8.
The 59-year-old laborer Leo Praile Sapelino of Barangay Jamabalud, Pototan is also the municipality’s No. 1 fugitive.
Judge Vicente Go of the Regional Trial Court-Branch 68 in Dumangas, Iloilo issued the arrest warrant on April 27 with no bail bond recommended.
The arrest warrant was served by joint personnel of the Pototan Municipal Police Station (MPS), Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO)-Provincial Intelligence Unit, 1st and 2nd Iloilo Province Mobile Force Companies, 601st and 603rd Regional Mobile Force Battalion, IPPO-Special Operations Group, Technical Support Company and New Lucena MPS.
The case stemmed from a shooting at the residence of victim Danny Biona Asuelo in Barangay Dawis on May 17, 2022.
