Ilonggo Kiefer Ravena misfires as Yokohama bows to San-En

MANILA – Kiefer Ravena struggled offensively as Yokohama B-Corsairs suffered an 87-72 defeat to San-en NeoPhoenix in the Japan B.League Division 1 on Sunday night at the Toyohashi City Gymnasium.

The Iloilo City native guard finished with seven points and four rebounds as the B-Corsairs dropped to a 9-17 win-loss slate. The NeoPhoenix stayed on top with a 22-4 record.

Matthew Wright, meanwhile, waxed hot from the three-point area as Kawasaki Brave Thunders prevailed over Ibaraki Robots, 89-78, at the Kawasaki Todoroki Arena.

The former Phoenix Fuel Masters gunner finished with 23 points, including seven three-point conversions, to go with three rebounds, three assists, one steal, and a block for the Brave Thunders.

Rosco Allen top-scored for the Brave Thunders with 25 points, Alize Johnson had a near triple-double of 17 points, 15 rebounds, and seven assists, and Sacha Killeya-Jones added 12 points as they moved up to a 6-20 record.

Robert Franks tallied 31 points and nine rebounds, while Chehales Tapscott added 13 markers as the Robots dropped to a 7-19 win-loss slate.

Bobby Ray Parks Jr. tallied seven points on 1-of-9 field goal shooting as Osaka Evessa (13-13) gets back at Akita Northern Happinets (13-13), 84-80, at the CNA Arena Akita.

Kai Sotto finished with 16 points, 14 rebounds, three blocks, and an assist as Koshigaya Alphas (7-18) defeated Shiga Lakes (2-23), 89-62, at the Shiga Daihatsu Arena.

AJ Edu ended with six points and seven rebounds as Nagasaki Velca (13-13) lost to Sendai 89ers (6-20), 76-70, while Dwight Ramos contributed seven points as Levanga Hokkaido (9-17) bowed to Seahorses Mikawa (18-8), 75-74./PN
