Ilonggo, Negrense taekwondo jins shine in virtual speed kicking tilt

MANILA – Taekwondo jins from Iloilo City and Negros Occidental have dominated the recently held 2021 SMART-MVPSF National Interschool Speed Kicking Championships.

The Iloilo MVP Taekwondo Gym amassed 15 medals in the tournament – four gold, one silver, and 10 bronze.

The team’s gold medal winners are Marielle Faye Lagamo, Ianna Gabriella Rosales, Eujean Ivanka Castete, and James Annrhey Pecayco. Lindsy Lorraine Degayo, meanwhile, was the lone silver medalist.

Alicia Sophia Gutierrez, Shires Pastolero, Angela Joy Marie Bermejo, Jannah Ysabel Velez, Francheska Isobelle Dunton, Jeremiah Miguel Ong, Pearl Danielle Rosales, Anthony Benedict Planta, Margarette Gem Obsequio, and Adrian Joseph Gajasan III bagged bronze medals.

Meanwhile, the A. Diasnes Taekwondo Gym accumulated nine medals from the contest.

The group scored four medals behind wins by Rogin Ace Segurigan, Princess Dennisse Mana-ay, Gabrielle Dominique Dacumos, and Rojohn de la Cruz.

The silver medal winners are Kian Ezekiel Castigador, Zion Nickolo Guinez, and Albert Gabrielle Caguicla.

Franz Angelo Fernandez and Seth Ryan Templanza settled for the bronze medal.

On the other hand, taekwondo jins from the Negros Taekwondo Union-Tigers New Gen have an impressive performance in the event as they garnered 12 medals – four gold, six silver, and two bronze medals.

Leigh Andee Rodriguez, Julio Miguel Zapata, Jerik Joseph Paiwas, and Wynnonah Kiarra Chavez captured gold medals for the team.

Manuel Machado III, Christelle Therese Avanceña, Francine Launio, Alexander Joseph Marañon, Ianne Rose Treyes, and Paulo Lopez netted silver medals.

The team’s bronze medal awardees were: Christophe Therence Avanceña and Cipriano Lumanog IV./PN
