ILOILOI City – ILOPRISAA repeated as champion in the secondary girls volleyball event of the Iloilo Schools Sports Council Meet 2019 at the Iloilo Sports Complex here.
ILOPRISAA, represented by Central Philippine University Golden Lions, retained the secondary girls title after defeating Congressional District Sports Association (CDSA) 3 in the finals yesterday.
The victory also served as a revenge for the ILOPRISAA crew after the Amie Provido-led CDSA 3 defeated them during the elimination round on Tuesday.
On their way to the championship round, the now 10-peat champion ILOPRISAA defeated CDSA 2, while the CDSA 3 edged the ICSSC in the other semifinals game.
In secondary boys volleyball, CDSA 4 emerged as champion after defeating CDSA 3 in the gold medal match three sets to one. ILOPRISAA bagged the bronze medal.
CDSA 4, meanwhile, swept the elementary and secondary boys football crowns after defeating the teams from CDSA 2 in separate championship matches./PN
