ILOPRISAA clinched the crown of the 2018 lloilo Schools Sports Council Meet secondary basketball after besting CDSA 3 in the finals 61-53 on Saturday at the Iloilo Sports Complex.
Led by Reynold Tupas, Carl Magtanao, Rexmar Matulac, and Charles Deaño, ILOPRISAA dominated CDSA 3 from start to finish to keep the ISSC Meet title.
The University of San Agustin led the team from ILOPRISAA (Iloilo Private Schools Athletic Association) while CDSA 3 (3rd Congressional District Sports Association) comprised the CenterPhil Montessori Silver Knights.
With the victory, the Jphil Cercado-mentored ILOPRISAA will advance to the Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association Meet slated next year in Roxas City.
On their way to the finals, ILOPRISAA defeated CDSA 4-Alimodian 64-52 while CDSA 3 walloped the Iloilo City Schools 62-26 for their fourth straight finals appearance.
Meanwhile, ILOPRISAA reached the finals of elementary boys basketball after taking down CDSA 3 in the semifinals 69-41 at the Gaisano City Mall in Iloilo City.
Clark John Salvania led the way with 13 points, while Amiel Dema-ala chipped in 12 markers, for ILOPRISAA, which was still waiting for an opponent in the finals as of this writing.
In secondary boys football, ILOPRISAA also made it to the semifinal round despite settling for a scoreless draw with CDSA-4 at the close of the elimination round Friday at the Iloilo Sports Complex./PN
