ROXAS City – ILOPRISAA kicked off its campaign with two gold medals in the tertiary women’s billiards of the 2020 Western Visayas Private School Athletic Association (WVPRISAA) Meet here yesterday.
May Patrice Santiago captured a gold medal in women’s 9-ball event while Elan Maris Engada delivered the second gold for the ILOPRISAA delegation in women’s 8-ball category.
NOPSSCEA, meanwhile, stamped its class on rival ILOPRISAA in football with victories at the start of the secondary boys and tertiary men’s competition.
NOPSSCEA walloped ILOPRISAA in secondary boys football, 3-0, while NOPSSCEA’s tertiary team defeated ILOPRISAA via penalty shootout, 4-2, after the regulation ended at 1-1.
In secondary boys basketball, ILOPRISAA-Hua Siong College of Iloilo Red Phoenix drubbed NOPSSCEA-Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias, 111-88, while Capiz-Colegio dela Purisima Concepcion edged Aklan, 93-64.
In secondary girls volleyball, ILOPRISAA-Central Philippine University defeated Aklan, 25-16, 25-18, while NOPSSCEA-St. John’s Institute swept CAPRISAA, 25-15, 25-16.
On the other hand, in secondary boys volleyball ILOPRISAA edged CAPRISAA in three sets, while NOPSSCEA dominated Aklan, 25-11, 25-15.
In tertiary women volleyball, NOPSSCEA cruised to a come-from-behind 15-25, 25-14, 25-21, 25-11 win over CAPRISAA, while ILOPRISAA beat Aklan in tertiary men, 25-20, 25-16, 26-16./PN
