ILOPRISAA secondary girls volleyball team continued its reign in the 2018 Iloilo School Sports Council Meet after bagging its 11th consecutive title on Saturday at the Iloilo Sports Complex.
Led by Chris Ann Susbilla and Elisha Juliene Apostol, the Central Philippine University Golden Lions-led ILOPRISAA cruised to a four setter win over CDSA 4 in the gold medal match.
ILOPRISAA head coach Boyet Alcalde said their elimination round upset loss to the CDSA 4 fueled their drive to score a convincing win in the championship round en route to another appearance at the Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association Meet.
“The lost we had (to the CDSA 4) in the elimination is our motivation for this championship,” Alcalde said. “I talked to the players what went wrong and we created a game plan.”
Also part of the ILOPRISAA secondary volleyball team are Railyn Alcarde, Kristine Ancheta, Athea Aposaga, Clarisse Cordero, Henia Vee Celiz, Yssa Jaruda, Arianne Kew, Christine Lagidohon, Marviel Maglupay and Trixie Sampiano.
Meanwhile, the ILOPRISAA-Hua Siong also clinched a championship in the elementary boys basketball with a 55-40 victory over CDSA 1-Guimbal over at the Gaisano City Mall.
Amiel Dema-ala led the way with 11 points, while Paul Balledos added 10 markers for the ILOPRISAA squad.
