ILOILO City – A woman from Barangay Taft North, Mandurriao district complained to the police that her neighbor threatened her.
Jonalie Caño, 46, claimed that Rene “Padoy” Martinez, 40, hacked their door with a bolo at around 10 p.m. on March 14, a police report showed.
In addition, Martinez shouted at the top of his voice, saying, “Gwa kamo da kay pamatyon ta kamo, paniruhon ta kamo karon (Get out of there! I’m going to shoot you all to death),” Caño claimed.
Caño did not say why Martinez would do these but said the incident caused her “great fear and anxiety,” the police report stated.
Police referred the incident to the barangay lupon.
Martinez could not be reached for comment as of this writing./PN
