ILOILO City – For illegal possession of firearm, a 65-year-old man was nabbed in Barangay Bucaya, San Joaquin, Iloilo.
An improvised .38-caliber revolver with six live bullets was confiscated from Conrado Suarez, a resident of the village, police said.
Suarez’s apprehension came after village watchmen Daniel Siena chanced upon the former carrying his firearm. Suarez failed to show pertinent papers showing his legal ownership of the weapon, a police report showed.
The suspect was brought to the San Joaquin municipal police station, where he was detained.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act will be filed against him./PN
