ILOILO City – Police nabbed a man for illegal possession of firearm in Barangay Pasil, New Lucena, Iloilo.
Alex Jesus Parayao, a resident of the village, was taken to the New Lucena police station.
Prior to his arrest, Parayao allegedly threatened to shoot his wife after a heated argument ensued between them. Parayao’s wife reported him to the police, which resulted to his apprehension around 2:45 a.m. on Jan. 14.
Responding police officers were able to seize from Parayao an improvised 12-gauge shotgun.
The suspect was detained, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act will be filed against him./PN
