BACOLOD City – The city government will increase each of the qualified city hall employee’s Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) bonus from P25,000 to P30,000.
Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez announced this yesterday, Nov. 20, during a press conference at the Bacolod City Government Center.
The CNA bonus is on top of the year-end bonus the employees received on Nov. 15.
Budget Circular No. 2023-1, dated Nov. 10, 2023, stated that the “CNA incentive may be granted to both management and rank-and-file employees of agencies with approved and successfully implemented CNAs in recognition of their efforts in accomplishing performance targets at lesser cost and in attaining more efficient and viable operations through cost-cutting measures and system improvement.
“In all cases, the CNA incentive shall not exceed P30,000 per qualified employee,” the circular added.
Benitez said since the city is fiscally sound and continuously generates revenues, it should be able to provide the mandated bonuses adequately.
As of October, the local chief executive explained that Bacolod City is now on 94 percent of its target revenue for this year.
City records showed that from January to October 2023, the total revenue collection was P1.376 billion, and the target is P1.465 billion./PN
