ILOILO City – For assaulting a police officer, an Indian man was arrested on Luna Street in La Paz district yesterday.
The 19-year-old Gurpreet Singh was detained in the lockup facility of the La Paz police station.
He allegedly blocked the way of a car driven by Master Sergeant Elmer Panes around 12:45 a.m. on May 9.
When they confronted each other, Singh reportedly grabbed Panes – a La Paz police station personnel – by the arms.
Charges for direct assault and unjust vexation will be filed against Singh, police said./PN
