ILOILO City – An Indian man was fatally shot multiple times on Tuesday evening, leading to his death, in Mandurriao district.
The shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m. at Imperial 6 residential subdivision in Barangay Guzman-Jesena.
The victim was identified as Jatinder Singh.
“Two gunshot wounds were located at the back, with bullets exiting through the side of his chest and impacting his right palm,” said Police Captain Val Cambel, officer-in-charge of the Mandurriao police station.
Singh died while being rushed to the hospital.
Cambel said police investigation was exploring a business-related motive, noting Singh’s history of altercations when inebriated as a potential lead.
Authorities are currently reviewing security camera footages and are awaiting the results of a ballistic examination on two recovered 9mm cartridge casings and a deformed slug, expected later this week, to further aid in identifying the suspects involved./PN
