Influencer slams Rabiya Mateo for disagreeing with Duterte

RABIYA Mateo received praises from the online community after she disagreed with President Rodrigo Duterte’s statement that women are not fit to be the Philippine president.

However, social media influencer Jam Magno – known for being a vocal supporter of the President – lambasted Mateo for disagreeing with Duterte.

According to Magno, the beauty queen should just focus on trying to win the Miss Universe pageant instead of commenting on Duterte’s opinion.

“DO THE MATH MATEO. When you are supposed to represent the 104 Million Filipinos you need to do the math, meaning you should represent the whole and not the tiny. I never wanted to speak against anyone whom I know has every right to be angered about something like, let’s say losing their million-peso livelihood due to the closure of their network. That I respect and I won’t really fight them on that,” Magno posted on Facebook.

Magno, who claimed to have trained Filipina beauty queens for international pageants, also expressed her dislike of Mateo’s fashion sense.

“But as for you, I will not approve the fact that you do not represent me as a woman at all. When your fashion sense is saddening and they pass you off as an intellectual instead. You know why Pia and Catriona won their crowns? They focused on the prize. They rallied the Filipinos behind them. There was no color or side, so they won and everyone united with them. If they have differing opinions now it’s because they earned it,” the post added.(KAMI)
