BACOLOD City – The city council here requested the City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) to strengthen the inspection, testing, calibration, and sealing of fuel pumps in all gas stations.

The CTO is required by City Ordinance (CO) No. 565 Series of 2011, Chapter 5, Article 19, Section 62(f), to keep full sets of secondary standards for use in testing weights and measures instruments.

Under the same CO, all retail outlets are responsible for the proper calibration and accuracy of their dispensing pumps, which are tested quarterly and sealed by the proper authority.
