IPPO has new spox

ILOILO City – The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) has a new public information officer (PIO).

IPPO director, Police Colonel Noel Aliño, designated Police Major Nestor Bacuyag as the new spokesperson of the IPPO effective Monday, Nov. 21, replacing Police Senior Master Sergeant Francisco Lindero.

Bacuyag – a lawyer – is not new to the IPPO. He was a former police officer at the Carles police station for almost two years.

He was a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Criminology at the University of Pasay.

The new IPPO spokesperson has also been assigned to the office of the chief of the Manila Police District.

Aliño said he designated Bacuyag to speak on his behalf if he is not available for an interview.

“I designated Bacuyag kasi minsan wala tayo sa office because of some appointments at minsan may mga meeting tayo, so kung kailangan ng media for interview ang spokesperson will take over,” the IPPO director said.

Meanwhile, Bacuyag welcomed his new assignment despite having no experience as a spokesperson.

“I will do my best na ma-cater natin ang ating friends from the media,” he said./PN
