ILOILO City – Personnel of the Pavia and Santa Barbara municipal police stations (MPS) were all accounted for and in their respective posts following Monday’s surprise inspections of Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) officer-in-charge director Colonel Bayani Razalan.

“So far all personnel were in the stations aside from those who were on the field for special tasks or conducting intelligence monitoring, and on sick leave,” Razalan said.

He also reminded his men to be always alert against insurgency and avoid moonlighting during office hours, particularly engaging themselves as security to businessmen, politicians and retired army/police general.

Razalan was the first police director to carry out the directive of Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) director Brigadier General Jack Wanky to account all personnel and ensure they report daily to their assigned posts.

Wanky’s directive was also in response to the order of Philippine National Police (PNP) chief General Rommel Francisco Marbil, stressing the importance of daily attendance to maintain discipline and efficiency within the ranks.

Wanky emphasized the importance of diligence and commitment among police officers.

He added: “The Regional Internal Affairs Service was tasked to conduct inspection to other offices in the region and I warned my men of absences without valid reason.”/PN
