ILOILO City – The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) monitors areas with a history of intense political rivalry in preparation for the October barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections (BSKE).
IPPO director Colonel Ronaldo Palomo said they would not drop their guard.
Iloilo province has 1,721 barangays spread in 42 towns and one component city.
Palomo has also started holding dialogues with local government units.
