ILOILO City – The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) remains steadfast in its mission to uphold public safety which resulted to the arrest of 19 individuals and seizure of P3.4 million worth of shabu.
Data from the IPPO showed that from November 11 to 17, a total of 13 drug operations were carried out resulting to the capture of four high-value individuals and 15 street-level targets. Also, a total of 495.80 grams of illegal drugs were recovered.
In the campaign against fugitives, the IPPO apprehended 66 persons, of whom six belonged to the top 10 most wanted list and 60 others committed lesser offenses, from 64 operations.
As part of its efforts to curb illegal gambling, the IPPO had also executed six operations and caught 19 individuals and confiscated P4,210 in bet money.
For the campaign against the proliferation of loose firearms, Iloilo cops arrested seven persons and recovered seven firearms in a week of operations. Additionally, 14 firearms were voluntarily surrendered and five more were deposited for safekeeping.
The IPPO further carried out seven operations against illegal quarry which led to the arrest of seven individuals and impounding of seven vehicles.
IPPO director Colonel Bayani Razalan acknowledged the collaborative efforts of his men and the community in achieving these accomplishments.
“The success of our operations is not only the result of our hard work but also the strong partnership we have cultivated with the public. I urged everyone to continue supporting our campaigns,” Razalan said./PN
