ILOILO – The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) arrested 208 wanted persons and 37 drug suspects in the first month of Police Colonel Ronaldo Palomo as the province’s top cop.
Of the 208 caught from March 4 to April 11, 38 were “most wanted persons” – three were “top most wanted persons” in the regional level, five in the provincial level, and 30 in the municipal level.
The remaining 170 were considered as “other wanted persons”.
In the campaign against illegal drugs, the IPPO conducted 33 operations resulting in the arrest of 37 drug suspects – 12 “high-value” and 25 “street-level”.
Around 574 grams of suspected shabu valued at P3,900,826 were sized.
Police Major Rolando Araño, IPPO spokesperson, said, such accomplishments “ma-anchor naton sa effort nga ginapakita sang tanan nga units, aton chiefs of police (and) ground commanders…Nagapakita sila sang dedication sa trabaho. Ang support sang tanan nga mga personnel naga-result sang manami kag positibo nga kampanya especially sa maintenance sang peace and order,” said Araño./PN
