BACOLOD City – A man who has brain tumor was found dead in Purok Pucatod, Barangay Dulao, Bago City, Negros Occidental, police said.
Bago City police head Chief Inspector Jeoffer Cabural identified the man as the 57-year-old resident Atilano Chavez.
Chavez was found floating in an irrigation canal in the village around 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 30, a police report showed.
Police said a resident who took a bath at the irrigation canal discovered Chavez’s body.
Chavez’s wife Janet, 55, told the police that her husband – who takes a bath at the irrigation canal every morning – suffered from a headache the night prior.
Chavez was brought to the Bago City Hospital where attending physician Dr. Marco Beñoza pronounced him “dead on arrival.”/PN
