ARE Zanjoe Marudo and Josie Prendergast an item?
Speculation is rife that Zanjoe, 35, seems to have special feelings for Josie after he flew all the way to Siargao for her 19th birthday celebration last June 19.
Josie is a surfer-model who’s born to a Spanish-Filipino mom and a Scottish-Australian dad.
In her Instagram post dated June 20, Josie showed videos of her family and friends who threw a surprise party for her at her hometown in Siargao.
Josie’s caption read, “Can’t accurately describe the feelings I felt yesterday. Being woken up at 4am In the morning to those you love most singing outside my home was indescribable. I am so grateful / lucky and very very blessed to have such loving family and friends.”
While Zanjoe was not included in Josie’s Instagram post, other photos of him at the party made rounds online and sparked romance rumors between them.
As it happened, Zanjoe and his former My Dear Heart co-star Hyubs Azarcon were among the guests at Josie’s party.
This was based on Zanjoe and Hyub’s photograph with a non-showbiz girl, who also had photos with Josie at the same occasion.
Zanjoe may have been keeping the real score between him and Josie under wraps, but he did post on Instagram a picture of him about to jump off the famous diving board in Sugba Lagoon, Siargao.
His caption, written in Bisaya, read: “Dili ako malukso.” (Pep.ph)
