BACOLOD City – Police were still locating a suspect in shooting a man in Barangay Camang-camang, Isabela, Negros Occidental.
The 40-year-old Michael Nobrea accidentally shot the 52-year-old Sandy Madrelino, a police report showed.
Nobrea and Madrelino were both residents of the village.
According to investigators, Nobrea was having a drinking binge with a certain Jonas Seva on May 25.
Nobrea then tapped his improvised .38-caliber firearm onto Seva’s shoulder but the gun fired, hitting Madrelino on the face.
Madrelino was rushed to the Ignacio Lacson Arroyo Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Isabela. He was later transferred to a hospital in Bacolod for further treatment./PN
