ILOILO City – Ateneo de Iloilo Blue Dragonettes retained its volleyball crown, elementary girls category, of the 2019 Iloilo Schools Sports Association Meet over the weekend at the Ateneo de Iloilo here.
The Blue Dragonettes of head coach Vanlinh Clemente displayed strong service and crisp execution all game long to defeat St. Joseph School in the championship round, 25-11, 25-11.
Spearheading the team were captain Wellah Franzee Bajada, setter Emmanuelle Monique Lubis and spikers Nicole Servano, Leigh Ayen Malayang, Emilia Francesca Ganzon, and Gaudrielle Angela Franco.
Also part of the team were Julliana Bless Apostol, Ashley Deanon, Nicole Francesca Quiblatin, Arviel Kerzy Bachoco, Ma. Chloe Samantha Louise Zabal, Johanna Margaret Colmo, Sophia Gabrielle Colmo, Zoe Yap, Jorja Andrea Diasnes, Maria Samantha Cristobal, Riznelle Angelique Baron, and Darla Christella Testigo.
It was a golden double for the Ateneo de Iloilo after its Blue Dragons team captured its third consecutive secondary girls volleyball championship last week./PN
