ILOILO City – ILOPRISAA renewed its mastery over CDSA 3 in the gold medal match of the Iloilo Schools Sports Council Meet 2019 at the Iloilo Sports Complex here.
Dave Bagatnan top-scored with 32 points while Cedrick Manzano was efficient on defense with 12 blocks to go along with 18 points and 22 rebounds on Wednesday.
ILOPRISAA, which was represented by Hua Siong College of Iloilo Red Phoenix, surged to an early advantage behind the inside conversions from Bagatnan.
CDSA 3 rallied back and was able to trim the deficit to as low as five points but ILOPRISAA pulled away anew behind Bagatnan, Manzano and Reneil Gamboa as the lead reached to as high as 23 points.
For being the ISSC Meet champions for the fifth straight year, the ILOPRISAA will be Iloilo’s representative in the WVRAA Meet on February 2020.
The defending champion reached the finals after defeating CDSA 5 in the semifinals early Wednesday behind the efficient offense of Gamboa and Bagatnan.
CDSA 3, represented by Centerphil SilverKnights, also reached the finals after a 90-75 rout of CDSA 4, which was composed of players from Assumption Passi./PN
