Isuzu becomes PH’s top truck brand for the 21st year in a row

IN SPITE of the pandemic, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) finished 2020 as the country’s top truck seller.

With this achievement, IPC is now officially the top truck brand in the Philippines for the 21st year in a row. It also becomes number one in terms of light-duty truck sales for the 22nd straight year.

Isuzu trucks sold per categories

IPC also swept all truck categories in 2020. It topped Category III with 2,322 units of N-Series light-duty trucks sold, Category IV with 1,064 F-Series medium-duty trucks, and Category V with the 320 C&E-Series heavy-duty trucks.

“By being the ‘responsible partner,’ IPC does not just supply world-class vehicles and treat our customers as mere clients, we treat them as partners,” said IPC president Hajime Koso. “Their growth is essential to IPC’s growth, hence, we provide total support to our customers nationwide with great products and aftersales support.”

In addition to all these, IPC also sold 2,503 units of the Traviz in the truck’s first year in our market. The truck was able to capture a 20 percent share of the Category II Cab & Chassis segment.

D-Max and mu-X improved sales performance

Meanwhile, IPC also sold 3,346 D-Max and 1,681 mu-X units in 2020, which was actually a 12 percent increase from the same period the year prior.

“We are confident in our truck lineup, but as the demand changes and increases, IPC evolves and is ready to introduce new products that the Philippine market will love,” added Koso. “Hopefully, these products will help boost our economy this year.”(Top Gear PH)
