Isuzu’s all-new mu-X is the right car for you when you are looking for good value in a vehicle.
The seven-seater family SUV is “unique” and embodies “durability,” said Nubuo Izumina, president of Isuzu Philippines Corp, during the launch of the product at the SMX in Pasay City.
First introduced in Thailand and Australia in 2013, mu-X has a “five-link suspension system with coil spring,” which allows its occupants to stay comfortable throughout the ride.
“Isuzu mu-X is indeed something to brag about. Outstanding performance delivered by one of the world’s most robust diesel engines, the 2.5 liter 4JK1-TC engine. Impressive design. Comfort and convenience. And, of course, global standard safety features,” said Izumina.
The top official said the product cornered 43 percent and 58 percent of the SUV segment of Thailand and Australia, respectively, vehicle sales from January to July 2014.
It was also no. 1 in SUV sales in the same period in Thailand and Australia, he boasted.
Isuzu said they expect to sell about 2,000 units this year.
Sales target for next year, on one hand, is 6,000 units, said Takashi Tomita, executive vice president.
The new Isuzu vehicle also looks at affordable prices.
Tomita said its 4×2 pick-ups start at between P1.2 million and P1.4 million.
The 4×4 range costs P1.7 million, the official further said.
The Isuzu mu-X is available in six body colors, namely Cosmic Black, Outback Brown, Aqua Blue, Titanium Silver, Silky Pearl White, and Splash White.
It is available in authorized Isuzu dealership in Metro Manila, as well as in the provinces in Isabela, Pangasinan, Cabanatuan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, San Pablo, Bacolod, Iloilo, Mandaue, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, and General Santos./PN
