FILIPINO stars Ivana Alawi, Liza Soberano, Janine Gutierrez, and Bella Poarch were included in TC Candler’s “100 Most Beautiful Faces” of 2022.
TC Candler released the list on Wednesday, Dec. 28.
Ivana landed the sixth spot on the list. This is the third consecutive year that the popular YouTuber made it on the list.
Liza Soberano landed the 23rd spot this year. It can be recalled that in 2017, the actress was hailed as “The Most Beautiful” by TC Candler. She was also inducted in the “Hall of Fame” after she appeared on the list for four consecutive years.
Meanwhile, Janine Gutierrez landed the number 51 spot on the list. TikTok Fil-Am star Bella Poarch is on the 80th spot on this year’s list.
Topping this year’s “Most Beautiful” list is US model Jasmine Tookes. Ranking number two is K-Pop group MOMOLAND member Nancy. BLACKPINK’s Lisa landed the number three spot.
TC Candler also released the list for the “100 Most Handsome Faces” of 2022. British actor Henry Cavill landed the number one spot on the list. K-Pop group Stray Kids member Hyunjin landed the second spot. Third on the list is American actor Timothée Chalamet. There is no Filipino personality in this year’s “Most Handsome” list.
The “100 Most Beautiful Faces” list is an annual list published by TC Candler and The Independent Critics since 1990.
“Unlike most other annual beauty rankings, the 100 Most Beautiful Faces List is not a popularity contest and it is definitely not country specific. It is not about the hottest or the most famous celebrity. Rather, the list attempts to inform and broaden public opinion, instead of reflecting it,” TC Candler wrote on YouTube.
They added, “The list introduces new faces to countries they ordinarily would not reach. The Independent Critics search far and wide, listening to the many millions of suggestions submitted by the public over the past couple of decades, and they then put together a list representative of the modern ideal of worldwide beauty.”
TC Candler also highlighted that “aesthetic perfection is only one of the criteria. Grace, elegance, originality, daring, passion, class, poise, joy, promise, hope… they are all embodied in a beautiful face.” (PUSH)
