JAK Roberto has so far remained silent despite his confirmed split with Barbie Forteza after seven years of relationship, as the actor has yet to issue a statement addressing their breakup.

Forteza, who announced her breakup with Roberto on her Instagram account on Thursday, Jan. 2, thanked the latter for “loving [her] the way [he] did.” She, however, didn’t reveal the cause of their split.

The actor, on the other hand, has yet to address Forteza’s revelation. His recent post was a clip of the rapper-songwriter Gloc-9 performing at a New Year countdown event in Makati on Wednesday, Jan. 1. His comments section is limited as well.

Roberto’s last post featuring Forteza is a photo of them enjoying an intimate dinner at a steak restaurant to celebrate the actor’s birthday last December.

Forteza referred to their split as a “beautiful goodbye.”

“’Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened – Dr. Seuss. Having you in my life was the happiest I had ever been. Seven wonderful years. A lot of laughs, a lot of ramen and so much love. Your love was exceptional,” she said while sharing photos of their past dates in an intimate restaurant and a shake shop.

She hoped Roberto would take care of himself and find the “love [he] deserves.”

“But sometimes, good things fall apart so better things can come together. Beautiful goodbye, @jakroberto. Thank you for loving me the way you did. I am excited for what’s to come for the both of us. You take care of yourself. May you find the love you deserve,” the actress wrote.

Following the confirmation, Forteza appealed to her supporters to keep matters involving their relationship between them.

“I hope for everyone’s understanding and I wish you can help us put this matter to rest,” she said.

Dubbed as JakBie or BarJak, Forteza and Roberto were one of the longest-lasting celebrity couples from GMA. They worked together on projects such as “Meant to Be” and “Kara Mia,” with the actress often making appearances on her ex-boyfriend’s YouTube channel.

Following their onscreen partnership, the exes established their solo careers within the Kapuso network. The actor took on leading man roles in the dramas “Bolera” and “The Missing Husband.” Forteza, on the other hand, is known for her acting prowess, and her love team with David Licauco has also gained a strong following.
