Janella to Maja Salvador: ‘Sobrang genuine talaga ng taong ito’

WHEN they first tried talking to each other on the set of “The Killer Bride,” they weren’t even sure if they were related.

Now, Janella Salvador is beyond grateful for all the conversations she and Maja Salvador had throughout shooting the gothic drama, she shared on “Magandang Buhay” last week.

Janella was asked about what changed with her first impressions of Maja as they got to work together more, and she was nearly in tears as she opened up about the “genuine” care her cousin showed for her.

Na-realize ko na sobrang genuine pala talaga ng taong ito – hindi showbiz bait,” she emotionally said. “Naramdaman ko iyong care niya para sa akin.”

The two said that their talks were not limited to work, but also extended to their more personal thoughts, their dreams, and how they were feeling during that time.

Maja also defended Janella from those who tend to “misinterpret” her “strong” personality that may come off as that of a snob.

She found that it takes a while for Janella to open up to other people, and that her younger cousin would only do so if she feels like you were genuinely interested in listening to her stories.

Maja also discovered that they both like sweets a lot, and that Janella values family above everything else.

“The Killer Bride” aired its finale in January. It also starred Joshua Garcia, who was then billed as Janella’s love team partner. (ABS-CBN)
