AFTER announcing his decision to leave Star Magic after being a resident talent for more than two decades, Janus del Prado shared another memorable moment that happened in his life this year by revealing his sudden weight loss journey around the same time he became a freelance actor.
The 36-year-old actor shared in a recent Instagram post his milestone of losing 60lbs in just three months from February to May this year.
He wrote, “210lbs – 150lbs. 10lbs na lang ayaw pa matanggal. Eh basta! Kaya yan! Let’s YouJizz! … este… Let’s do this! ”
The former child actor, who is currently part of the cast of the upcoming iWant series He’s Into Her, had been actively posting before and after photos of his slimmer physique on Instagram, dubbing it as “#titogoals” and “#progresscheck.” In one post last month, he wrote, “Verified Wohoo! I’m not overweight anymore! I’m payat anymore. chos.”
Last March, Janus revealed that losing weight was actually his resolution for 2021.
He said, “My New Year’s resolution is to lose weight. Medyo na-delay lang kasi Feb. 1 na ako nag start ng diet. Lolz. And after 1 month, akalain mo?! I lost 31lbs! Uwah?! That’s 14 kilos men. (fistpump) From 210lbs to 179lbs as of today. Im so happy. Still overweight though. Kailangan pumasok ‘yung timbang ko between 139lbs and 169lbs kasi 5’8 lang ako. I’m going to miss chubby Janus. So kyooot. Chos. And to those chubby people na ok lang sa pagiging mataba go lang as long as you’re happy and healthy. Sarap kaya kumaen. Pero kung kailangan na para sa health at happiness, maybe ito na ‘yung time na mag balik alindog program. Remember paps, kung kaya ko, mas kaya niyo. Matigas ulo ko eh. Hehe. Labyu.” (Push)
