ILOILO City – Two suspected drug pushers were nabbed in an entrapment operation in Barangay Ungka, Jaro district yesterday.
The 25-year-old Jovannie Palabrica and 39-year-old Rogelio Pamposa – both residents of the village – were arrested after they sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P1,100, a police report showed.
Antidrug personnel of the Jaro police station staged the sting operation around 6 a.m. on May 4.
When frisked, three more sachets of suspected shabu and a cellphone were recovered from the suspects.
The police also impounded the truck the suspects used.
Palabrica and Pamposa were detained in the lockup cell of the Jaro police station. They were facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
