ILOILO City – His drinking buddy was accused of killing a taxi driver in Barangay Lanit, Jaro district.
Nelson Johan Sotaso, 33, of the same village died of two stab wounds on the nape, a police report showed.
Police identified the victim’s fellow villager, 20-year-old laborer Daniel Oscares, as suspect.
Sotaso and Oscares were binge-drinking at around 11:38 p.m. on Sunday when his fellow laborers heard Oscares shouting, a police report showed.
They checked what it was about and found Sotaso on the ground and wounded, said the police.
Oscares was arrested and detained at the Jaro police station./PN
