JASMINE Curtis Smith does not seem a bit bothered that avid fans of the LizQuen love team might bash her for playing Enrique Gil’s girlfriend in the upcoming movie “Alone/Together.”
In fact, Curtis Smith told one Twitter user that Gil and Liza Soberano’s fans have been kind to her.
“LizQuen fans have been kind! Tamuhhhh! Trabaho lang always when it comes to my projects with or without love teams. A blessing is a blessing. Thank you!!” she said on Twitter.
Meanwhile, Gil and Soberano only have good words for Curtis Smith.
“She’s a sweetheart. She’s awesome. She’s easy to work with and easy to talk to. I didn’t really have any problems with Jasmine,” said Gil in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
Adding that she is amazing, the actor said he wants to work with Curtis Smith again in the future.
As for Soberano, she said: “Working with Ate Jasmine, she’s beautiful and you can really tell na she’s a great actress also.”
“I didn’t have that many scenes with her. I wish I had more. But I’ve watched some of her films like ‘Baka Bukas’ and a few others. Behind the scenes, she would talk to us, make conversations. And I love her Ate Anne so I love her too,” she added.
“Alone/Together” follows the love story of Christine (Soberano) and Raf (Gil), who cross paths again eight years after they first met during college.
Antoinette Jadaone, the director and writer behind “Alone/Together,” has described Soberano’s Christine as an “over-achiever” – she graduated magna cum laude from the BA Art Studies program of UP Diliman, and dreams of becoming a museum director at renowned attractions like The Met and The Louvre.
Gil’s Raf, meanwhile, is the opposite. “Umuulan ng singko at incomplete,” Jadaone said of the character, who is a BS Biology student from the University of Sto. Tomas. “Ang dream niya, simple lang — maka-graduate lang.”
“Alone/Together” will open in cinemas nationwide on Feb. 13. (ABS-CBN News)
