ILOILO City – A woman and her son had been stabbed in Barangay Guan, Leganes, Iloilo.
Nona Grace Belloga, 32, and 15-year-old son RJ were taken to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district.
Police identified the suspect as Belloga’s husband Regan, 35. Jealousy was the motive, investigators said.
Regan was arrested after the incident at around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday and detained at the Leganes police station.
Regan attacked the mother and son at a karaoke bar just a few meters from their house, witnesses told the police.
Nona Grace was hit on the right elbow while RJ was wounded on the back.
They were released from the hospital after the treatment of their injuries.
Regan, meanwhile, faces two counts of a frustrated murder charge./PN
