ILOILO City – In a fit of rage, a jealous wife cut the penis of her sleeping husband in Barangay Barosbos, Carles, Iloilo on Saturday.
The 32-year-old Mark Betita was rushed to the Western Visayas Medical Center. Wife Lizel used a pair of scissors on him, police said.
The genital mutilation was carried out around 10:30 p.m. Mark was so inebriated from a drinking binge with friends and quickly fell asleep in the bedroom.
Police said the couple often quarreled. The wife suspected her husband to be cheating on her.
Lizel left the house after the genital mutilation, police said, and her whereabouts remained unknown as of this writing./PN
