ILOILO City – “Maintain Love for Jehovah,” based on Mathew 22:37, is this year’s theme of the bi-annual circuit assembly of Jehovah’s Witnesses at Amigo Terrace Hotel on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017.
Delegates coming from Tagalog-speaking congregations in Western and Central Visayas are expected to hear the program discourses in Tagalog together with Watch Tower Society Bible Tract Society representatives from Quezon City.
While other Christian religious groups may be squeamish in the use of Jehovah as God’s name, the Jehovah’ Witnesses take literally Jesus command as he cited the ancient commandment to “love Jehovah God with our whole heart, soul, and mind” as the greatest commandment.
The community will benefit from this free program which will deal with problems on health and finance, among others, and how to cope with them successfully.
Principal questions regarding the Bible will be answered, such as:
• What is the greatest commandment and why is it important?
• How can we show unhypocritical brotherly love?
• How can parents teach their children to love God?
The program is open to everybody regardless of culture, religion and background. All attendees are encouraged to bring their personal copy of the Bible and provisions for lunch and merienda breaks. The schedule of activities follows:
