Jessy on possibility of transferring networks: ‘Bakit naman hindi. ‘di ba?’

AFTER starring in last year’s Metro Manila Film Festival entry “The Girl in the Orange Dress,” Jessy Mendiola will be in Regal Films’ summer offering, “Stranded.”

The 26-year-old actress recently posted something on her social media account that has netizens wondering if she is considering transferring networks.

“I posted a picture kasi with the caption na, ‘To old endings and new beginnings.’ I just feel really inspired kasi this movie is also something new to me and I just recently launched my new business Senorita,” she explained.

The “Stranded” star said she has no plans to transfer management. “Nagulat din ako (laughs). Pero siguro dahil hindi din ako visible masyado and maybe they’re thinking that I’m trying to move or whatever. But I don’t know. We’ll never know what will happen in the future. Basta ako, I’m taking it day by day and I’m really happy na kahit papaano I’m still given projects. I’m more focused now on my vlog and my business. At least, at the same time nakikita pa rin ako ng mga tao. Maybe that’s why iniisip nila lilipat ako kasi hindi rin ako nakikita sa TV masyado,” she said.

Jessy admitted that it was hard waiting for a role on television before she was able to be part of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” last year. “Siyempre naiinip ako. Sino ba namang hindi? Pero kung naiinip ka man, eh di gumawa ka ng something productive na puwede ka-busy-han like business or kung ano pang medium na puwede mong ipakita yung sarili mo,” she said.

If she ever got an offer from a rival network, Jessy admitted she would think about it. “Para sa akin, kung mas may trabaho naman dun, bakit naman hindi di ba? Pero for now I’m still in touch with ABS-CBN management so I don’t think so. I’m not aware of anything,” she said. (Push)
